I was lucky enough to be invited to this wonderful 5 Star hotel recently and I couldn’t recommend it highly enough.
This beautiful Country Club is nestled in the heart of 300 acres of parkland, lakes, gardens and monuments. It’s 15 minutes from the train station (Slough/Gerrards Cross) and an easy drive from the M4 and M40. This hotel is also only 7 miles from Heathrow.
Famous for its stunning architecture and spa, Stoke Park is also well known for hosting it’s annual Boodles . Showcasing tennis stars, the week before Wimbledon.
Fun Fact – Apart from the spa and outdoor sauna, this Country Club has been the backdrop for a few movies, that you may have heard of.

We dined in Humphrey’s (takes its name from Humphry Repton, who designed the bridge it overlooks in 1805) and had breakfast in the Orangery. The British cuisine, fine dining restaurants food, is outstanding. We had amuse-bouche between each incredible course and my bouche, was totally amoosed!! Whilst the prices are a little on the higher end of the scale, you will not be disappointed. I would highly recommend the scallops to start and lamb for main. Simply delicious.
The Orangery, for breakfast, overlooks the stunning gardens of Stoke Park. We took a long walk around these gardens too and the sunshine just added to the beauty of this place. I haven’t yet sampled the third dining option available here, San Marco, the Italian Brasserie, but that’s simply another excuse for me to return.
This venue is great for a spa break, golfing weekend or a relaxation stay. It is also a great venue for Weddings and meetings, with vast amount of meeting rooms, dining areas and wonderful gardens.
The staff here are lovely human beings. They couldn’t have made our stay more pleasurable. We utilised the luxury spa and I swam in the pool. I was impressed with the size of the pool as some ‘spa’ hotels don’t have very big pools. A personal downer for me.
Top Tip – give yourself some spare time to indulge in the relaxation room, take a dip in the outdoor spa and dry off in the Scandinavian sauna!
Stoke Park not only has stunning hotel rooms, in both the mansion and newer building, The Pavillion (where I stayed), over looking their gardens and fountains. They also overlook their famous 27 hole golf course which is constantly being updated so that people still find it a challenge! How great is that?!
This Country Club will forever be in my heart, I loved the way it felt, I loved the way it looked and I know I will be back!
